A bit of earth, to make it live

Confession: This whole seed-saving bit is new to me. I don’t think I’ve ever done it before.

I wanted something breathable to store my seeds in, so they could keep drying. I remembered how my friend Carla makes spiced cider—by stapling up the whole spices into a clean coffee filter. I’m trying that.

Easy to make, easy to label, easy to store. Now I hope they don’t all rot.

This looks like a girlish love note from Scout.

Do you save seeds?

  1. Saving seeds is fun. i usually use previously used envelopes or seed packets. I like how innovative and creative you are.

  2. So– I clicked on your link for Scout. I’ve always wanted to read that book. Now it looks like I must. 😉

I like your seed-saving packets. I’ve had my seeds rot in ziplocs, so I’ll have to try this!
