Words from a friend

Walking with Jesus / Monday, February 11th, 2013

“In the beginning, O God,
your Spirit swept over the chaotic deep like a wild wind
and creation was born.
In the turbulence of my own life
and the unsettled waters of the world today
let there be new birthings of your Spirit.
In the currents of my own heart
and the upheavals of the world today
let there be new birthings of your mighty Spirit.”

– J Phillip Newell

My grandpa went Home last night.

  1. I’m so sorry for you and your family. No matter how ready a loved one is to go, the goodbyes are never easy for those who are left behind. May God give you the strength you need for this week!

  2. That’s a beautiful quote, and echoes my heart’s cry. Only God can make peace out of this world’s chaos, not to mention the chaos that so often happens in my own heart.

I’m so sorry about your grandpa. I’m praying that God’s Spirit will comfort you.
