I knew you’d have something worthwhile to say. Thank you kindly! You suggested a great many podcasts, and now I am feeling the unhappy pressure of needing to listen to them all.
But I am going to staunchly resist.
Yes, there were a few in your list that sounded fun to me, and no, I am not going to tell you which ones until I try. I’m grateful for the leads! For easy access, here’s a compiled and alphabetized list of your Podcast Recommendations, by special request of gentle reader Priscilla. You’re welcome. I’m sorry I couldn’t include all your reviews about them – search the comment section of my last post for that.
In other news, I was making blueberry pie filling yesterday when my friend Gladys stopped by. I really like Gladys; she delivered two of my babies and if I had any more, she’d deliver them too, retired or not – at least – am I right, Gladys? I thought so.
I thought she was stopping by to pick up a computer from my husband, but she also came to my kitchen door. I reached for a hug and then freaked out, because in her hand she carried a large knife.
“Well,” she said, “I saw you chopping watermelon with a little knife, and I found this big knife for 99 cents, and it’s Farberware too. And I thought, everybody needs a knife with a chopping blade. Look at this edge. It won’t catch your fingers.”
So my husband snapped a picture and we had a good laugh and that knife! I can’t wait to use it.
That is my favorite thing about blogging: the times it brings people to my door.
Thank you! 🙂 I have no doubt you had plenty of other things to do besides compile an alphabetized list, but it’s now printed and waiting for that moment when I realize it’s podcast time! Enjoy the knife. 😉 I grew up using little knives, but have been converted to a big knife user; now when I go back home for visits, if the time will involve food prep, I take my big knife with me, and together my mother and I share her kitchen quite knifely…
?
Shall I comment This is cute. I don’t even know how to get a podcast. I’m sure it is very simple. I need to ask my computer tech to show me how, but only if I can be convinced they are worth while.
About the knife… there are two people who need a good big knife. A good cook so she can quickly create those wonderful foods, and a lousy cook so when she puts her hand to cooking at last she isn’t frustrated by that little knife with no room for her fingers when she wants to chop. And there are two ladies who need a very good sewing machine for the same reason.
Haha! That’s a very good rule of thumb. I will mention your need to your computer tech. ?
When I saw this title I truly thought the knife was going to be some kind of a snarky comment about podcasts. 🙂 You and Gladys together (with a knife!!)is what I consider nearly too much amazingness for one photo to contain. Your happy grins are worth a million bucks.
My deepest apologies for the grammatical error above. Forgive me.
What am I missing?! I don’t see it. Love you.
Two thumbs up for that list! Thanks for compiling it for us.
