Confession: I am addicted to words.
One fun way to experience them is by reading classic stories for free on the internet.
I first found the website classicshorts.com, which I like because its name makes me really laugh (I picture black boxers with chessmen embroidered on them, or something)… and because it is where I found “The Door,” by E. B. White, which I absolutely love. I think it’s a wrinkle in my brain that makes me like it, so beware.
Here is the most handsome, user-friendly site I’ve found, with a huge e-library: classicreader.com.
