This summer,

our family was given the gift of a photoshoot

by a friend of ours

who is just setting up his side gig of photography.

He said

I thought with your son back home,

this might be a good time.

He charged us nothing for the hour,

and when I saw the pictures I wanted to cry for that beautiful light

and those radiant kids
