Savory Burgers

Servings 6 patties


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (We like Sweet Baby Ray's.)
  • 1/4 cup Asiago cheese shaved or shredded
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 3/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


  1. Mix all ingredients together with a fork or your hands.

  2. Shape into six burger patties.

  3. Fry in a lightly greased skillet over medium-high heat for a few minutes per side, until cooked through. (Can grill, if desired, but burgers should be frozen first to solidify.)

  4. Serve on a bun with condiments and toppings.
